A New Model in Oktober

Hi Visitor!

Two weeks in October I modelled another character for StandingSun. Its a dragon acording to the conceptional drawing and it should not look so fearfully as a dragon might should look like. But I'm happy that it looks pretty like the concept.

Zwei Wochen im Oktober brachte ich damit zu, eine weitere Figur für StandingSun zu modellieren. Es ist ein Drache lt. der Konzeptzeichnung und er sollte eben nicht so furchterregend aussehen, wie man sich vielleicht eine Drachen vorstellt. Aber ich bin soweit ganz zufrieden damit, da er so aussieht wie auf dem Konzept.

Here you see a beta-version of 'Heart In A Tube'. The last scenes are not yet finished and I put some stills in. So visit in a two-weeks time and it will be finished - hopefully.

Hier seht ihr eine Beta-Version des Clips 'Herz hinter Glas'. Die letzten Szenen sind noch nicht fertig animiert und ich habe statt dessen ein paar Standbilder hinzugefügt. So schau einfach in zwei Wochen wieder vorbei, dann wird der Film fertig sein - hoffentlich!

Work In Progress: Heart In A Tube

Here's a little update of my project I'm working at the moment. I call it 'Heart In A Tube'. I won't tell you more but it's about relationship to God and one's heart and about the sight we have about our live.
It will be finished about the end of September.

Hier noch ein kleiner Update des Projektes an dem ich gerade arbeite. Ich nenne es 'Herz in der Röhre'. Ich möchte nicht mehr verraten, aber es geht um Beziehung zu Gott und meinem Herzen und darüber wie wir unser Leben sehen.
Es wird gegen Ende September fertig sein.

This clip was made in September 2006 as I and my family attended a DTS (discipleship school) with YWAM (Youth With A Mission) in New Zealand. We had the task to do a devotion and this song by Amy Grant and Martie Smith had thoughed my heart and I some pictures had come to my spirit. So I tried to bring them into existence. I only had a two weeks time and my laptop as a 'rendering-machine' so not all pictures are animated. Enjoy!

Diesen Clip habe ich im September 2006 gemacht als ich und meine Familie an einer DTS (Jüngerschaftsschule) bei JmeM (Jugend mit einer Mission) in Neuseeland waren. Wir hatten die Aufgabe, eine Morgenandacht zu halten und dieses Lied von Amy Grant und Martie Smith hatte schon des längeren mein Herz berührt und ich hatte schon einige Bilder in meinem Geist. So versuchte ich, sie in Existenz zu bringen. Ich hatte nur zwei Wochen Zeit und nur meinen Laptop für das Rendering, daher sind nicht alle Bilder animiert. Aber trotzdem hoffe ich, dass es dich berührt.

Hello dear readers!
I havent't updated my blog for a long time, so what happened in the mean-time:
I bought the animation-software messiahStudio and had a lot to learn. Then I worked on the characters I used to create for StandingSun and their project (http://dragon.standingsun.com/) and finally continued on my clip 'heart in a tube'. Till May I worked at home in our sleeping-room, but now I have a little office and that makes work easier. Nevertheless it's a lot of work to produce a scene of about 28 secondes. For 7 seconds I need one week.

Ich habe mein blog schon einige Zeit nicht mehr aktualisiert, so was ist also in der Zwischenzeit passiert: Ich habe mir die Animation-Software 'messiahStudio' gekauft und hatte da einiges zu lernen. Dann arbeitete ich weiter an den Figuren für 'StandingSun' und ihr Projekt ( http://dragon.standingsun.com/) und schließlich arbeite ich an meinem clip 'Herz in einer Röhre'. Seit Ende Mai habe ich sogar die Möglichkeit, eine kleines Büro mitzubenutzen, das erleichtert die Arbeit. Trotzdem braucht es seine Zeit, bis eine Szene fertig ist. Für ca. 7 sec brauche ich ungefähr eine Woche.

Mighty Angel

Just a little test-render I made the other day. I would like to do a little clip on Michael W. Smith's dummers-intro on his album 'A New Halleluja'. When I hear the music I must think of a prayer-meeting of 4 men. And while they pray 4 angels appear - dangerous looking. It is obvious that the men are beset by daemons sorrounding them in the room. But the angels are holding up their wings to protect them . As the men pray a tear drops on a bible lying on the floor. Quite after that the angels open their mouth and begin to roar. And as they open their mouths light comes out and fills the room. The daemons are gone and the men realize their breakthrough in prayer. They laugh and hug eachother and hold up their hands in worship.
The up-holded hands changes to fume that comes from a bowle. The camery turns up and we see, that this bowle is standing before a throne. The prayers of the saints come up before the throne of God as a fragrancy. The 4 angels appear again, but now they bow down before the throne.

Here's one of them. I need to work on the hair - I know. But just to give you an idea...

What's the clip all about?

It's a story about a young man who is carrying his heart outside of his body in a kind of a glass-tube. And he also wears some kind of welding-glasses that constrict his sight. He lives in a hopeless and grey valley. He is searching for God and is recognizing some signs but doesn't really understand. He asks himself the question 'How is God?' but couldn't come to a conclusion. At the end of the song he he is totally frustrated and for the first time of long period he begins to cry. Finally he realizes that the question should be 'Who is God?" In that night God comes and takes his heart out of the tube into his body again. And on the next day the young man can see that the valley is green and not gray as he has seen it.

For me it's a paradigma how we realize God when our heart is not connected with Him. We try to understand Him with our mind or look for signs in our life and draw our conclusions. But we need to come into a relationship with Him and need to understand with the heart. And when we understand His love and grace just a little bit, we see the world with different eyes: Their is hope for the hopeless!

This is just my interpretation of the clip. I'm curious what your's will be.

Es ist die Geschichte eines jungen Mannes, der sein Herz ausserhalb seines Körpers in einer Art Glass-Röhre trägt. Ausserdem hat er so eine Art Schweisserbrille auf, die ihm beim Sehen behindert. Er wohnt in einem hoffnungslosen und grauen Tal. Er sucht irgendwie nach Gott und sieht auch Zeichen, versteht sie aber nicht. Er fragt sich selbst 'Wie ist Gott?', kommt aber zu keinem Schluss. Am Ende des Songs ist er total frustriert und zum erstenmal seit langem beginnt er zu weinen. Schließlich realiziert er, dass die Frage lauten muss: "Wer ist Gott?" Als er schläft kommt Gott und gibt das Herz wieder in den Körper des Mannes. Am Morgen sieht der junge Mann, dass das Tal eigentlich grün ist und nicht grau, so wie er es gesehen hatte.

Für mich ist es ein Paradigma dafür wie wir Gott erleben wenn unser Herz nicht mit ihm verbunden ist. Wir wollen Ihn mit unserem Kopf verstehen und schauen aus nach Zeichen in unserem Leben und ziehen unsere Schlüsse. Aber wir sollen in eine Beziehung mit Ihm kommen und mit dem Herzen verstehen. Und wenn wir so Seine Liebe und Gnade auch nur ein klein wenig verstehen, sehen wir die Welt mit anderen Augen: Es gibt Hoffnung dort wo keine mehr ist!

For the moment I'm pausing for my story-characters because I'm working on a new animation for the song 'Life's Noise' by 'BlueTree'. Jimmy the main character is carrying his heart outside in a glastube where it is kept alive by a pneumatic device. And he wears a kind of a pair of welding goggles that work like blinders. Here's a little turnaround.

Mom. unterbreche ich gerade meine Arbeit an den Figuren zu meiner Geschichte. Ich arbeite gerade an einer neuen Animation zum Song 'Life's Noise' vom 'BlueTree'. Jimmy, die Hauptfigur, ist eine Adaption meiner Figur 'Ronder'. Er schleppt sein Herz in einem Glaskolben mit sich, wo es von einer pneumatischen Apparatur gepumpt wird. Ausserdem hat er so eine Art Schweisserbrille auf, ist also ein bi...sschen scheuklappen-mäßig unterwegs. Hier ein kleiner Turn-Around:

This is the fourth person of my story: Ronder is a soldier of the king's guard. He is loyal and patient, but if he needs to fight he knows no fear and is fast like lightning.

Dies ist die vierte Person meiner Geschichte: Ronder ist ein Soldat der königlichen Garde. Er ist loyal und geduldig, aber wenn er kämpfen muss kennt er keine Angst und ist schnell wie der Blitz.

Eagle-Animation

This is my master-peace so far. I started in summer 2007 and finished in summer 2008. It's made with Vue and Poser. The characters are from Poser, the movments of the eagle are bought not self-made. The explosions and the cannon was made with Lightwave 8.5
The music is from Delirious (Investigate).
Sorry for the type-writing-error at the end.

Dies ist soweit mein Meisterstück. Ich startete im Sommer 2007 und wurde fertig im Sommer 2008. Es wurde mit Vue und Poser erstellt. Die Figuren sind aus Poser, der Flügelschlag des Adlers ist gekauft, nicht selbst erstelle. Die Explosionen und die FLAG wurde mit Lightwave 8.5 erstellt. Die Musik ist von Delirious (Investigate). Am Ende gibt es einen kleinen Verschreiber - sorry!

3D Characters of my story

In December 2007 I wrote 24 stories for my children - an adventure of 4 characters searching for 24 jewels, placed in a medevial-kind fantasy world - and I was encouraged to publish a book. Now I'm working on the illustration in 3D. If you look on it with this red-blue-glasses you should get an impression of space. But for this a 3D-environment is needed.
It's my first time I'm working on human characters, so please be kind with your rating ;-)
I'm steadily working on my figures, so there will be an update from time to time.

Im Dezember 2007 schrieb ich 24 Geschichten für meine Kinder - eine Abenteuergeschichte in der 4 Personen nach 24 Edelsteinen suchen, angesiedelt in einer dem Mittelalter ähnlichen Fantasiewelt - und wurde ermutigt, diese doch als Buch zu veröffentlichen. Nun arbeite ich an der Illustration in 3D. Wenn man sie mit diesen rot-blauen Brillen ansieht, sollte man einen räumlichen Eindruck bekommen. Aber dafür muss man zuerst eine 3D Umgebung schaffen.
Es ist das erste mal dass ich an menschlichen Figuren arbeite, also seid bitte mit der Wertung etwas gnädig ;-)
Aufgrund der Feedbacks werde ich sie ständig verbessern (und auch neue hinzufügen), es wird also von Zeit zu Zeit eine Aktualisierung geben.

Hi! This is the first post in my blog and I want to share with you some of my creative works.

Hallo! Das ist mein erster Eintrag in meinem blog und ich möchte hier ein paar meiner kreativen Arbeiten vorstellen.

Here are some hand-made paintings made to tell a story in a children's ministry. It shows the story of the little boy Caleb who lived about 2000 years ago in Jerusalem. He was very poor and worked in carpenter's workshop but was the punching bag for everything - even when it was not his fault.
One day he met a friendly man who taught about God - and was a carpenter, too. He gave him good advice and encouraged him, so that his master was completely surprised how this boy grew in his skills. But on day Caleb couldn't find his friend anymore. They said he was a criminal and was crucified this day and he should forget this looser! Caleb was very sad and cried. He went to the place were he often had met with this gentle man. Two days he was there and on the third day he heard his name spoken by a voice he loved so much: It was Jesus, risen from the dead. He explained everything to him and that He (Jesus) can be with him all days if he opens his heart and let him in and accepts him as God and Saviour.

Hier sind ein paar handgemalene Bilder die ich anl. einer Kinder-Stunde angefertigt habe. Sie zeigen die Geschichte des kleinen Kaleb, der vor ca. 2000 Jahren in Jerusalem gelebt hatte. Er arbeitete bei einem Tischler und war der Sündenbock für alles - auch wenn es nicht seine Schuld war. Eines Tages traf er einen freundlichen Mann, der ihm von Gott erzählte - und auch ein Tischler war. Dieser gab ihm auch gute kollegiale Ratschläge und der Meister des kleinen Jungen wunderte sich, wie dieser in seinen Fähigkeiten wuchs. Aber eines Tages konnte Kaleb seinen Freund nicht mehr finden. Man sagte ihm, dass er ein Krimineller war und heute gekreuzigt worden sei und er solle doch den Versager vergessen! Kaleb war sehr traurig und weinte. Er zog sich zurück zu dem Platz bei dem er sich oft mit diesem warmherzigen Mann getroffen hatte. Zwei Tage verbrachte er dort und am dritten Tag hörte er seinen Namen von der Stimme nennen, die er so lieb gewonnen hatte: Es war Jesus, der von den Toten auferstanden war. Dieser erklärte ihm alles und dass Er (Jesus) jetzt immer bei ihm sein könnte, wenn er sein Herz öffnen würde und ihn als Gott und Retter annimmt.
